A Gift is a soul-searching comedy drama from Thailand, full of romance and heartwarming humour.

The film consists of a three-part omnibus delivering three different stories dealing with love and life, linked together with its awesome soundtrack based on music composed by Thailand’s late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The first story in ‘A Gift’ is Love At Sundown, directed by Chayanop Boonprakob and Kriangkrai Vachiratamporn, starring Nine Naphat and Violette Wautier. The story follows two strangers whose first encounter is having to play the part of being a married couple. This heart-warming and funny story is bolstered by its masterful cinematography.

Starring Mew Nittha and Sunny Suwanmethanont, the second story Still On My Mind by director Nithiwat Tharatorn tells a story of a woman looking after her father with Alzheimer’s as she discovers music as a way to connect with him. This story strikes at the heart by drawing you into the drama of this unconditional love story of father and daughter.

The third and final story in ‘A Gift’ is New Year Greeting by director Jira Maligool and starring Ter Chantavit and Noona Neungthida. This existential journey follows Llong as he searches for what he wants from life and how making choices can unexpectedly lead you to finding happiness.

These films are masterfully linked through the captivating soundtrack. Based on the work of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, they weave together the various stories, strengthening the emotions of the characters through their highs and lows.

Mixed with the variety in cinematography and styles brought to us from the various directors, this film engages and captivates throughout the emotional roller coaster of love.
